Fun story, well drawn, and son enjoyed listening to the story.Nice big drawings for kids to look at and read about Mr WaniThis is one of my favorite children's books! I've had it for almost 8 years and had to buy another copy as a gift. It is funny and always entertains the little ones.as a substitute teacher and tutor, i've shared this book with a lot of children of all ages. with it's charming illustrations and story told with wonderful humor, this book has quickly become a favorite among them.I got a copy of this book from our local library book sale and not from Amazon; however, it is such a wonderful book that I wanted to review it and recommend it to everyone.I got it when my son was 2 and he liked it but at 3 years old he is roaring with laughter, wants to read it every night and took it to preschool for show and tell. It is our favourite book to read. The story is fantastic and the artwork is perfect for demonstrating actions through illustrations.I highly recommend this book to every toddler parent!!This is a really wonderful book, with superb artwork and a really funny story. Mr Wani deserves to have more adventures! Our 17-month-old loves this book. He enjoys all of Mr Wani's misadventures - and especially likes Mrs Crow popping the balloons, and the two pages that need to be turned sideways to see Mr Wani plummeting from the sky. He also loves the window in the page near the end that allows you to see inside the Froggies' party. Even when the book is not at hand, we can entertain him by drawing Mr Wani's long crocodile nose and many teeth - though sadly not as well as the author draws him! We can't wait for Kanako Usui's next book.My almost 4-year old son laughed out loud as Mr. Wani ran into Elephant's rear end. The illustrations are excellent and gave my son a serious case of the giggles. Of course all the silly voices I do for the animals help too! A great book that preschoolers will love to hear again and again.Absolute favorite book ever! We buy lots of them and give them away as gifts.Mr Wani is a luckless crocodile (Wani incidently being Japanese for crocodile) who hurries to a party and ends up squashing animals or breaking things as he goes. (All survive and are unhurt).Illustrations are very bold and certainly have a japanese anime twist to them. Story line is great as you can predict "What happens next" as poor Mr Wani is about to land on some unsuspecting creatures. My 3 yr old certainly loves it as does his father! Anything where there is suffering seems to appeal to a certain age group...'Nuff said
