Kate Turner and her daughter, Alex, move to Shoreham, Florida for a new start. What seems to be an idyllic town soon turns nightmarish for both mother and daughter in the form of female bullies. Things quickly escalate, to the point of no return.I could not stop reading this book. If I had to stop, I constantly thought about it until I could pick it back up again. Margot Hunt is a fantastic writer, and really has a way of pulling you into her stories. I felt what these characters felt. It transported me back to middle school/ high school, where bullies, thankfully, weren’t as evil as these “lovely girls”, but still present. Thankfully, once again, social media in my heyday wasn’t what it is now. As a parent to a teen, that terrifies me! These girls had me wanting to throw my Kindle across the room, and they’re fictional characters ? Halfway through, I just knew this would be a 5-star read. Though there were few twists, this book kept me on my toes, and engrossed in the story. Highly recommend for fans of thrillers, drama, and maybe a touch of Desperate Housewives.
