Plague - A Gripping Medical Thriller Novel | Suspenseful Pandemic Fiction for Book Lovers & Mystery Readers

If Dustin Hoffman had come to the rescue, there would have been an antidote or vaccination for the people infected by a deadly germ in the states of Hawaii and finally California, Florida and Maryland. I gave this book five stars for its entertainment value. The plot was murky, the characters ill defined and there was too much confusion surrounding the core plot. The writer's mechanics were otherwise good. I recommend the book to people who like medical thrillers. It is scary to know that germ warfare is real and could happen. I am confused because the black hats could have easily been the white hats and vice versa. The bad guys thought the USA needed a purging plague such as had been suffered on other continents even before man populated the earth. I looked for a monetary motive for introducing this killing agent upon the people, but I missed it if it was indeed ever a part of the plan. The killing agent could not be identified by the CDC. In such cases the infected people and land area would have been isolated until the agent ran its course. So what did the CDC do? Some traveled to Peru by way of California and Florida. One infected party flew to Maryland. The germ was spread by bodily secretions such as sweat. I cringed when the CDC people ate restaurant food or touched any public surfaces. The author kept me guessing at least once on every page and sometimes twice.Thank you, Mr. Methos, for a good read.
